Dairy farming is the single largest sub – sector of agriculture in Kenya. It contributes 14% of Agricultural (GDP) with an annual growth rate of 4.1% compared to 1.2% of the Agricultural sector. Kenya’s dairy sector accounts for 4% of the country’s GDP and is a major activity in the livestock sector and an important source of livelihood to approximately 1.7 million small scale farmers, with a large number coming from the Mt. Kenya Region.  In line with the governments Big 4 Agenda on Food Security & Nutrition, the Mt, Kenya Dairy Conference 2021 (MKDC 2021)will offer hundreds of participants a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts, formulate policies, network, socialize and further addressing the latest technologies, developments and challenges affecting the dairy industry in the region with extensive research, profound tactics, and durable solutions.
